SIG Sauer’s new P322 pistol is fed by proprietary polymer high capacity mags: two are included with each pistol, with a total capacity of 20 rounds.
Each magazine holds 22 rounds of Long Rifle ammunition, with the option of carrying an extra round in the chamber. SIG Sauer also sells 25-round magazines separately as aftermarket accessories.
The Sig Sauer P322 includes features that are common on centerfire defense, service, and competition handguns. These characteristics are becoming more common in modern rimfire handguns for training and plinking.
It has a muzzle-protected thread that allows you to use muzzle compensators, barrel weights, muzzle brakes, and noise suppressors (where legal) without having to buy an entirely new barrel or adapter.
It also includes an optics-ready slide with an optional rear sight plate and an interface that can be modular to small red dots and reflex sights.
The slide in the Sauer pistol has good serrations on both the back and front. This makes it easier to draw faster or insert your holster, as well as shoot faster or easier.
The SIG Sauer P322’s factory-installed iron sights feature high-visibility green fiber optics. The front sight is permanently attached to the post, while the rear sight is adjustable to create a low-profile.
There are many popular, high-quality, modern rimfire pistols on the market today, but SIG Sauer wants to get involved with the P322 pistol.
When it comes to price, SIG Sauer takes on the competition head on with the P322. SIG Sauer usually doesn’t say how much the P322 will cost, but it appears that it will cost around $400 in the United States.
This Sig Sauer P322 Semi-Auto Weapon has a whopping 20+1 round count in a concealed rimfire pistol built from the ground up.
A secured thread in the muzzle allows the use of muzzle weights, barrel weights, brakes, muzzle compensators, and sound suppression devices (where legal) without the need for an adapter or a brand new barrel. There is also an opto-ready slide with a detachable rear sight plate and an interface that can be modularized for small-sized red dots or reflex sights.
The pistol’s slides have been streamlined on both sides to make drawing and holstering easier and faster. The slide of the pistol also has good front and rear serrations.
The SIG Sauer P322 comes with a factory-issued iron set of sights, including a fixed front sight that can be adjusted rear with low-profile and high-visibility green fiber optics.
